This beta does not load advertising or third-party analytics scripts. It uses cookies for login and reader reports, and browser storage for features you use.

What stays in this browser?
Guest follows and read markers, unfinished drafts and prepared draft images, plus your old browser-only archive. Signed-in follows and read markers are stored on the server for your account; guest follows are only imported if you choose to do so in the inbox. These have no automatic expiry in the app. They remain until you remove them, use the relevant discard feature, or your browser clears them. Successful posting clears its draft. Browser archive posts are never uploaded automatically.
Discord and external links
When you choose Log in with Discord, you leave Lurk6 for Discord’s login flow. Discord’s own cookie and privacy practices apply there. Linked YouTube players load only after you press Play. The player then connects to YouTube services under their own privacy and storage practices. Links to other websites can also lead to services with their own policies.
Optional traffic counts
The host can enable first-party aggregate counts for the public feed, shared threads and editorial pages. These counts use no analytics cookies or browser-storage identifiers. A separate browser-local exclusion preference pauses traffic events from that browser; unlocking the moderator desk enables it. This on/off preference stays until you change it or clear site storage, and is never sent with events. They group events by day, page and a short campaign label, are kept for 30 days, and respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. See Privacy for exactly what is counted.
Advertising is not enabled
Internal thread review helps the operator decide where a future advertising integration could be allowed. It does not load ads, collect advertising consent, or constitute approval from an advertising network.
Before advertising or third-party analytics is added, the operator must update these disclosures and configure the applicable consent controls. A homemade cookie banner is not a substitute for Google’s certified consent requirements. There are no advertising preferences to save in this beta because no ads are loaded.
Managing storage
You can log out to end the current login session. Browser site settings can remove cookies and local storage; doing so can also erase your local archive and drafts. It does not delete shared community content. See Privacy for more information or Contact for data requests.
